Wednesday-Water Day--please put on sunscreen before coming in--LABEL everything with your name. DON"T FORGET YOUR TOWELS!!!!!!!
Thursday-Story hour--children may bring a favorite book from home to be shared
Friday--Bike-N-Trike--8:00-9:00 both groups Movie Day
WOW! THE HEAT IS ON!!!! Just to let you know--we are not taking the little ones out in these extreme heat conditions. We go outside early in the morning between 8-9. Then we have our group time and several different types of indoor activities. We do not sit and watch videos all day. We play in centers, do weird science experiments--like cooking eggs on the sidewalk and asphalt to see which one explodes first--(the sidewalk), get out various math manipulatives, play instruments, sing, dance, whatever we deem necessary to beat the heat and still have a good time.
It's almost time for school to start again. If you haven't placed your child yet, we would encourage you to stay with us. All our children have built friendships throughout the summer and they wouldn't have to leave them to go to a new school! We have a great staff support system and your child would enjoy a safe and happy education while you would gain peace of mind.
Teachers want every child to have an enjoyable and safe summer. Due to time constraints, we ask all parents to remember to sunscreen children before coming to school. Also, please don't forget helmets on Friday. We will not allow children to ride their "wheels" toy without a helmet. This is for their safety.
Also, please note: NOBODY IS TO ENTER THE PARKING AREA WHILE THE CONES and/or buses are blocking the parking lot. We have already had parents trapped on the parking lot with children on their bikes. Every class runs on its own schedule and just because children are not on their bikes when you choose to pick up, this doesn't mean they won't be out shortly to get on their bikes. If teachers decide it is too hot to ride; we will have the buses moved into the middle of the parking lot. This is a signal that you may drive back into the parking lot to load bikes etc.

7:30-7:35 Main school dismissal
7:45-7:50 Woods school dismissal
8:00-8:05 Preschool dismissal
8:05-8:45 LC outside for recess
8:50-9:20 Jesus time, calendar, and weather
9:20-9:30 Potty & handwashing time--Snack etc.
9:30-10:00 Out for recess
10:00-10:45 Lesson and/or projects
10:50-11:00 Clean up for transition time
11:00-11:10 Potty and go to cafeteria
11:15-12:00 Lunch time
11:45-12:30 Noon recess
12:30-2:30 Naptime
