Supplemental Ed Services

The Greene County Tech School District participates in and receives funding through Title I, Part A which is a federal program designed for improving the academic achievement of the disadvantaged students.  The purpose of the Title I program is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging Arkansas academic achievement standards and assessments.

To help our district meet this goal, the Greene County Tech School District closely reviews all achievement data in order to determine if our students are meeting all the standards set forth in the No Child Left Behind Act.  Our data indicate that our students with disabilities are not performing at the proficient level on Arkansas academic achievement standards and assessments.  Because of these data, our district offers supplemental educational services for all students that qualify for free and/or reduced lunch status. In 2010-2011, we could have served 109 students.  We did service 93 students. Enrollment was from October 25, 2010 to January 31, 2011.  In 2009-2010, we offered services to 109 students and actually had 88 students participate in these after school tutoring services.   All supplemental educational services are provided to the children through state approved providers.  The 2009-2010 supplemental educational services tutoring occurred from February 23, 2010 to April 2, 2010.  In the 2008-2009 school year, the district served 39 students in this program.  Each year eligible students will be contacted by the school with all the pertinent information for the parents to make an informed decision.
