Young Artist

We are very excited about the art program being added to the Primary’s curriculum.  In this program we try to keep it a relaxed environment so the students will feel comfortable to express their ideas and show off their creativity. 

We are very fortunate at the primary to have a spacious art room with a variety of materials and projects to help spark the student's interest.  We focus mainly on the seven elements of design; line, shape, color, value, space, texture and form.  Then as an addition to our curriculum, we introduce careers, craft and principles of design.

Also as part of our curriculum, we send some of our student's work to various art shows.  We have many talented students and it is important for them to get the recognition they deserve.  The students love to show off their artistic talents so we have three classes display their artwork every two or three weeks outside the art room.  This allows every student the chance to have their art displayed sometime throughout the year.  When you are visiting the primary building we hope you will take time to view the artwork on display.  You will be pleasantly surprised at what these young budding artists can do.
