How Parents Can Help Make Testing Easier:

• Make sure your child gets plenty of rest.
• Make sure your child eats breakfast.
• Make sure your child doesn't miss during testing.
• Make sure your child has a positive attitude about the test.
• Make sure your child knows you think the test is important.

How Can I Help My Child Learn At Home:

• Read to your child and have him read to you.
• Show an interest in what your child is doing at school.
• Ask to see your child's papers.
• Talk with and listen to your child.
• Visit places like stores, museums, and festivals and visit about them.
• Attend your child's parent/teacher conferences.
• Show your child you think a good education is important.
• Get to know your child's teacher.
• Tell your child it is okay to ask the teachers questions.
• Check the status of your child's grades often.
• Urge your child to strive for excellence in all that he/she does.
